Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that is not answered below or in the FAQ of a specialty page, please contact me.

Q: Why should I choose online therapy?

A: Virtual therapy is:

  • Secure. Therapy is conducted in a HIPAA-compliant portal. All you need is a video-capable device and a reliable internet connection.

  • Convenient. Forget about traffic, plastic waiting room furniture, and awkward greetings. Snuggle up in your own space where you already feel comfortable.

  • Effective. Studies show that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy

  • Accessible. Online therapy expands access to those living outside of major metropolitan areas. Quality mental health care delivered directly to you.

Q: What are your hours?

A: Services are offered by appointment only.

Q:  What are your fees?

A:  Individual sessions are $150 for a 50-minute session.

Q:  Do you accept health insurance?

A:  In Colorado: I am Out of Network for all insurance companies. I can provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement, if need. Sliding scale rates are available.

In Texas: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, Oscar Health Plans, and United Healthcare.

Q:  What is your cancellation policy?

A:  Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full session fee ($150, or the agreed upon sliding scale rate). The card on file will be charged at the time services should have been rendered. I will attempt to offer a rescheduled appointment in case of emergency; however, there is no guarantee that this option will be available.
